Parking for all guests is available on site and is free of charge.

Pets are not allowed.
Vegetarian meals are available.
Wireless internet is available and is free of charge.

Smoking is only allowed in some of the open air areas.

Groups are accepted up to a maximum of 30 people.
No stag and hen groups.

Your standard room price includes the cost of breakfast.

Payment terms for direct bookings:

If you book with us more than 14 days before arrival.

Payments by BACS, and the following cards:
Visa, Mastercard.

A valid credit card is required to guarantee the booking.
Full booking balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.

If the booking is cancelled less than 14 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.

In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.

If you book with us less than or equal to 14 days before arrival.

Payments by the following cards:
Visa, Mastercard.

A non refundable deposit equal to the total cost of the booking is required.

The booking is non-refundable.

If you have booked via one of the OTA websites your booking terms are more flexible. Please refer to the booking conditions advertised on our listings on these site. Be prepared to pay a much higher price for your booking in order to be granted the additional flexibility offered on these platforms.

Room Occupancy Policy

For the comfort and safety of all guests, occupancy limits are strictly enforced.

Each room at Guisachan Guesthouse has a maximum occupancy which cannot be exceeded, regardless of the age of the guests.

Double Rooms: Maximum 2 guests
Twin Rooms: Maximum 2 guests
Triple Rooms: Maximum 3 guests
Family Rooms: Maximum occupancy as stated when booking

Please ensure that the number of adults and children entered during the booking process is accurate.

Guests arriving with more people than are included in the reservation may be:

Required to pay for suitable alternative accommodation (subject to availability); or
Refused check-in if alternative accommodation is not available.

These limits are in place for fire safety, insurance, licensing and guest comfort reasons.

Children count towards the room occupancy limit unless otherwise stated.

BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) Prohibition Policy

1. Purpose of this Policy

Guisachan Guesthouse holds a Premises Licence permitting the sale and consumption of alcohol on the premises. As the licence holder, we are legally responsible for ensuring that all alcohol consumed on the property is managed safely and in accordance with the Scottish licensing objectives. To support these responsibilities, this policy clarifies the rules regarding alcohol brought onto the premises by guests.

2. Policy Statement

Guests are not permitted to bring, store, or consume their own alcohol anywhere on the premises, including but not limited to:

Guest bedrooms
Lounges and shared areas
Outdoor seating areas
All internal and external spaces belonging to Guisachan Guesthouse

All alcohol consumed on the premises must be purchased from our licensed bar.

3. Reasons for the Prohibition

This policy supports our obligations under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 and helps us uphold the five licensing objectives by enabling us to:

Monitor and manage alcohol consumption responsibly
Prevent excessive drinking and associated risks
Verify age and prevent under‑18 consumption
Maintain the safety and wellbeing of all guests and staff
Reduce the risk of nuisance, disorder, and harm on or near the premises

Allowing uncontrolled alcohol consumption makes it impossible for us to meet these responsibilities.

4. Guest Responsibilities

Guests must comply with this policy as a condition of their stay.
Alcohol purchased off‑site must not be brought into the building.
If a guest arrives with alcohol, staff will request that it be removed from the premises (e.g., stored in their vehicle).
Failure to comply may result in:
- Confiscation of alcohol for the duration of the stay
- Refusal of service
- Termination of the booking without refund in serious or repeated cases

5. Staff Responsibilities

All staff will uphold and enforce the policy consistently.
Staff will intervene if they become aware of BYOB breaches.
Any incident involving alcohol misuse or policy breaches will be recorded and reported to the Premises Manager.

6. Bar Service Information

Alcohol is available for purchase by residents during licensed hours.
We reserve the right to refuse service in accordance with licensing law (e.g., intoxication, suspected under‑18s, disorderly behaviour).

7. Communication of the Policy

The BYOB Prohibition Policy will be communicated to guests through:

Booking confirmations
Website terms & conditions
Check‑in documentation
In‑room guest information folders
Signage where appropriate

Clear communication ensures guests understand expectations before and during their stay.

8. Review of Policy

This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if required by changes in licensing law, operating needs, or advice from the Licensing Standards Officer.
