Why visit the Highlands again? Many people love going to Scotland, one of the top tourist spots in the world. With its rich history, stunning scenery, culture, and good food, it’s easy to see why.
However, we often hear about visitors trying to see all of Scotland in one trip—trying to make the most of their time in this lovely place.
One day in Fort William, a couple of days in Skye, a day in Inverness, a few days in Edinburgh. But the truth is, Scotland has so much more to offer than you can experience in just a short visit! There’s a strong argument for coming back, and not just at the same time each year.
While there are certain cultural events that might draw you to visit at specific times, the scenery in Scotland is always changing, and in just a few months, the landscape can look completely different.
For example, take Glen Coe. I visited it again in March and hiked up to a viewpoint I had been to before. The sun was shining, and the light danced across the glen, highlighting the snow-covered peaks. The landscape was transitioning from winter, and the barren vegetation from last year began to show hints of orange, red, and yellow.
Fast forward three months to early summer, and the glen looks entirely different, bursting with vibrant greens in the brighter summer light.
Don’t see Scotland as a place to visit just once; make plans for repeat trips. You won’t regret it!
