Photographic workshops

Have a day or half-day on a personal tour exploring the local area with Phill.

Whether you’re a complete amateur or keen photographer, he’ll take you to some of the locations that the Scottish Highlands is renowned for.

Phill is happy to impart his technical knowhow, if you’re still trying to get to grips with the more technical aspects of photography; or if you already have the know-how, we can concentrate on getting to the right locations.

We offer a laundry service for guests at the cost of £18 per load (washed and dried)

Guisachan Guesthouse has a licenced bar serving light snacks and a magnificent selection of Scottish single malt whiskies, local gins, wine, spirits and local beer

Unfortunately, whilst we do like animals we have a policy of not having pets in our guest rooms, mainly to avoid the possibility of  a guest having an allergic reaction.  There are other accommodation providers in Fort William that do accept pets.

We are happy to provide accommodation for families, however we do politely request that all children are supervised by an adult, and that children are not left in rooms without an adult present.

We have a secure garage that is available free of charge for use to store bicycles

Check-in is between 16:00 and 22:00.  Early check-in is not usually possible, as most days we have to service every room ready for the next guests, and we operate at nearly 100% occupancy during the summer months.  Check-in is possible until 22:30 only by prior arrangement (the last train arrives in Fort William just after 22:00).

We ask that guests vacate their rooms by 10:00 in order that our housekeepers can service rooms ready for the next guests, and so that we are able to wash all bedding and towels.  Our housekeepers have a limited window to perform their duties on a daily basis.  If you wish to leave bags for a few hours after check-out, you are most welcome.

Our buffet breakfast is served in the dining room from 07:30, with the last sitting at 09:00 in order for you to have a relaxing breakfast before check-out at 10:00.

If you wish to have an earlier breakfast due to an early departure, we can offer a small packed breakfast consisting of pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cereal bar and juice with optional hot drink.
