Guisachan Guesthouse has been welcoming hikers from the West Highland Way for many years, and the Phill & Carmen are happy to accept bookings from people planning their own West Highland Way hike, and we are also preferred suppliers of a large number of companies that organise hiking holidays.

   Helaas was ons verblijf in dit Guesthouse van korte duur simpel om het feit dat we hier maar een nacht zouden blijven, maar onze ervaring met deze vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaren was buitengewoon. Laat in de middag kwamen we aan bij de b&b en vroegen de eigenaresse (Carmen) of er nog bussen reden richting "Steall Gorge and Waterfall" waarop zij aangaf dat het lastig zou worden, maar bood spontaan aan om om ons naar het begin van het pad daar naartoe te brengen, wij waren blij verrast met dit vriendelijke aanbod, voor de terugreis regelde ze een taxi, zo hebben wij op de valreep nog een mooie wandeling kunnen maken naar de waterval. Nadat we terugkeerde in de b&b hebben we heerlijk geslapen in een mooie kamer en de volgende dag van een heerlijk ontbijt genoten. Helaas moesten we weer vroeg weg om de trein/boot te halen richting Portree. Ons advies, een dag verblijven in Fort William is te kort, maar dankzij Carmen was het voor ons een onvergetelijke mooie dag geworden.

   The stay was amazing!
It was booked very last minute and still every detail was thought of, the room was very comfortable and good size for 2 people, the breakfast was delicious and the attention to the guests was incredible!

   We had a lovely stay here for two nights. The breakfast was extremely flavorful breakfast. I’m from Texas and was excited to see some things we don’t have. The black pudding was AMAZING along with the tattie scones. I snuck another one before I left. If I ever make it back to Fort William, I would love to stay again.

   Wonderful people, delicious food, cozy/comfy rooms, stunning beauty all around you, really loved my brief stay here! They even prepared vegetarian sausages for me at breakfast, such a kind touch. Would highly recommend this quaint and beautiful spot.

   friendly staff. delicious breakfast classic scottish food. salmon was good and they made sunny side up eggs fresh. the bedroom we got had the view to the sea and mountain, really enjoyed. the room was very clean. the towels made into swan shape was a very nice touch.

   This is a wonderful place to stay and I will return with my family as soon as I’m able.  The location is excellent for easily reaching Fort William by foot. It is also very comfortable and quiet. My favorite thing is the warm and inviting staff—they are lovely and very helpful.  Most highly recommended.

☺ it was very cozy and clean. the price included a full buffet breakfast with a very good spread. the staff are all so friendly and they even helped us to carry our luggages to the room.

   We made a stop on Fort William on night one of a trip to and through the Highlands. Absolutely a perfect place to stay with comfortable accommodations and lovely staff. Great location to wonder the town from, and a nice little bar to have a drink in the living room/communal area before bed. We took off at 6AM for an early fairy to Skye, and the hostess was up and making our breakfast to go. Truly a wonderful first impression as we spent our first night in Scotland!
